I use Microsoft Outlook e-mail and calendaring at work. At Washington State University in Pullman, faculty who had received expanded storage quotas and who were using over 1 GB of e-mail storage received this friendly notification...cut your storage down to under 1 GB!
Information Technology Services has moved the student e-mail to a cloud service using Microsoft Live, which offers GB-level storage as a base; hopefully, WSU faculty and staff will have an equivalent mail storage limit soon. I was reading back on the history of Gmail, and it was January 2006 when Google relented and included a Delete button in Gmail. But Larry Page had a point...you shouldn't have to delete e-mail messages.
