CONTENTdm and archival digitization...

Attending a lunchtime session of CONTENTdm users led by Geri Ingram of OCLC. One interesting enhancement, potentially useful for finding aid description and searching, is the ability to fully index PDF files in CONTENTdm 4.3 (with no cutoff in file size, and with every word indexed on every page). The plan is for today's group to continue working to build an ongoing CONTENTdm user presence in SAA, possibly thru a program at next year's meeting. CONTENTdm's EAD support remains unchanged from 2006.
