Primo 2.0 features

Here's info on the release of Primo 2.0. Primo has the highest level of functionality (including the ability to syndicate content and extensive control over the UI) of the available "next-generation" discovery systems. Some of the enhancements that stand out include:

• An SDK, including an open API: As noted in the release, the "API facilitates the customization of Primo and enables customers to develop code extensions that can be shared with other members of the Primo community." Based upon the program at ALA Midwinter that I attended, there's already a decent amount of innovative activity being done by libraries licensing the Primo product.
  
  
• Enhanced searching support, including ranking of FRBRized records, and support for result ranking by popularity.
  

Definitely an intriguing product.
