Attended a net neutrality session, with Cliff Lynch and Carrie Lowe as speakers.

Attending,over the noon hour, an OCLC WorldCat.org developers session at the Intercontinental. I have created some very basic applications (example; needs back button) and I'm interested in doing some additional work on my own to better understand what's possible, including with services like xID and WorldCat Identities. It sounds like the Developer's Network Mashaton will be scheduled for the west coast in fall 2009.

I missed the bX recommender session on Sunday morning; I need to hit Ex Libris up for info on this product. Ideally, article recommendations would appear in a WorldCat Local instance, in that the WorldCat.org detailed record has a placeholder for recommendations. But, in short, the bX product is, on paper, an attractive add-on to WorldCat Local searching for libraries (like mine) using the SFX OpenURL resolver.
