I'm attending an ALA preconference on mash-ups today. As I mentioned earlier, this has led to my first in-depth exposure to Yahoo Pipes. There are a number of other niche tools that Karen Coombs (the facilitator, University of Houston Libraries) is describing or demoing, and I'm testing the ones that I'm not familiar with during the session, one example being feed2js.
Then, towards the end of the day, I adopted this example to retrieve book jacket images (when available) from my books on LibraryThing.
