IUG 2008 - day 1

Dining at the Union Jack pub in Bethesda, scene of a popular YouTube video shot last fall. That's an appropriate reference, given Larry Irving's keynote address and his emphasis upon video and broadband. I got quite a bit out of today. Jill Palmer and I devoted two sessions to Millennium Statistics, and both of us are interested in making greater use of this module. I also attended a session on enhancing Millennium Web OPAC to support Web 2.0-like functionality. I'm going back to DC this evening for a conference dessert reception.
