Encore development partners

I'm in a session that's focused on how Innovative is developing Encore. Dinah Sanders, the Encore product manager, noted that Encore has a much larger development partner group (around 30 libraries) in comparison to other Innovative development efforts. She then described how this the agile development process has worked, and showed how the Encore interface (opening screen, results screen, record screen) has evolved over time. The importance of the agile development cycle cannot be understated: one developer noted the need to make significant changes to the UI during academic terms in order to build interfaces in a timely way that meet user needs. The alternative is to hold changes and, by doing so, increase the possibility that changes will be obsolete (in users' view) upon implementation.
